My passion for Corvettes began at a very young age when my dad and I would watch the TV Show Route 66 when Todd and Buzz would entertain us on Friday evenings touring Route 66 in their Corvette. About a year ago I decided to pursue my passion for the C7’s and find that Special GS or Z06 that was just a little different than the rest. Thanks to Matt Fagenbaum, he made that dream come true. This was by far, the easiest, most hassle free transaction I’ve ever experienced. Matt was very professional and so easy to deal with. Most of the grunt work was done by email and phone. Just had to sign, sign, sign on delivery day. Drove home 65 miles or so back to the ‘cuse in showers and rain, so my new C8 got officially baptized. I recently took my Corvette to Van Bortel to see if they would be interested in purchasing it. I can honestly say that I was treated with curtesy and that the sale was done very fairly. I dealt with Matt who allowed me to explain how I determined my desired price and then he took his time to explain how his offer was determined. I felt very comfortable dealing with Matt.

I decided to order one more Corvette. I ordered a 2021 Stingray convertible, from Matt Fagenbaum. He helped me with the order, and kept me informed during the wait for delivery. The car was ready for delivery in April. I was not sure what the weather would be, and I live four hours from Van Bortel’s, so I had them deliver it in their enclosed trailer. It arrived on time, and we did the paperwork on our kitchen table. Matt made it all very easy, and I would highly recommend him, and Van Bortel’s.

When I needed some troubleshooting and repair work done on our ‘71 I was very fortunate to learn about Van Bortel Corvette and most especially, John Rutkowski. I knew from our very first conversation that he was a true expert. Our ‘71 runs and drives great now thanks to him. His professional and friendly demeanor is frosting on the cake.
